Grand Mosque is one of the largest Mosques in the world and at one time, it can accommodate 20,000 worshippers. Grand Mosque has beautiful art work, chandeliers and one piece carpet covering entire prayer hall.
(To visit Mosque, one has to be dressed in conservative manner. One should not wear revealing or transparent clothes and should be covered from head to toe. Ladies have to cover their head with a scarf. Grand Mosque is open for the tourists from Saturday to Thursday from 08:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs)

Bait Zubair Museum was initially founded as a house by a rich merchant, who had a hobby of collecting antiques and doing photography. Later, he converted his house to a Museum in 1998 showcasing the culture and artifacts of Oman.

Visit the national museum and official palace of His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos. Al Alam Palace is flanked by two Portuguese fort Jalali and Mirani.

Jalali Fort has been completely refurbished and now used as a Museum for guests of State and Royal Family. This will be a outside photo stop only as visit to Palace and Fort is not possible due to security reasons.

Al Hoota Cave is 5 km long. The cave was first discovered by locals several hundred years ago and was officially opened as a tourist destination in December 2006. The Omani blind cave fish lives in this cave system.

Misfat Al Abriyen has become quite an attractive tourist destination in recent years due to the many features that make it a wonderful experience for any visitor. The village boasts amazing agricultural terraces, beautiful alleys, and old houses built on top of solid rocks. The combination of these elements gives a visitor to Misfat Al Abriyeen a dramatic image from the viewing platform, which is a short walk from the entrance to the village. Near the viewing platform, there is also a map of the historical part of Misfat Al Abriyeen along with information, points of interests and tips for visiting tourists. The old houses in Misfat al Abriyeen are traditional mud houses with palm frond roofs, and are unique in that they are built on solid rock foundations, surely as means of providing security during the olden times.

Visit Wadi Shab

Wadi Shab is an astounding gorge situated between the cliffs. The journey to reaching the destination is as incredible. You have to hike through a less-than-one-hour of undulated mountainous terrain and saunter alongside the meandering of a river to finally reach the source of this water body where a cave will greet your eyes. As you walk up close to the structure of the cave, you will discover its distinctive features – a stunning waterfall that spurts forth from inside the hollow of the cave and flops down onto the rocky land. You will be readily tempted to take off your shoes and take dips in this clean and beautiful waterfall, and after you satiate yourself to the hilt, it gets time to make your way inside the cave for further exploration gradually.

Wadi Tiwi 

 is unique in its own way with numerous farms and plantations dotting the wadi, and a stunning pool deep inside towards Mibam village . Wadi Tiwi, which is named after Tiwi village at the coast, is a truly beautiful wadi with the lush plantations giving it a different (certainly greener) feel than many other wadis.
